I've have been practising yoga for most of my adult life but came to Bikram yoga when I was going through a particularly stressful time in my life. I found Bikram Yoga helped channel my energy as well as giving me energy! It has also helped alleviate back pain associated with scoliosis, allowed me to have a healthy relationship with food (rather than an obsession!) and continually gives me a feeling of well being. In Bikram Yoga I find my greatest strengths to be poses concentrating on flexibilty but my ongoing greatest challenge is to quieten my mind.
I believe that every day your yoga can be different and every day you can learn something new about your postures or yourself. I recommend it to everyone and every body; the benefits are so varied and numerous. Yoga is a powerful healer.
