Why Bikram?

FAQs

1. Why is it important to have mirrors and carpets?

2. Why is it so hot?

The room needs to be heated to a minimum of 98 degrees to allow for vasodilation (veins widening to allow more oxygen.) The heat offers deeper elasticity to your muscles and flexibility of joints to aid healing. We want to offer you the safest way to practice in an authentic environment that is similar to India’s and to release toxins through sweating of the largest organ of elimination – your skin. For moe information see Why the Heat?
