Bikram Yoga is a specific series of classical hatha postures and breathing exercises offering a proven route to transformation to every body and mind set. Bikram’s Hot Yoga has been described as having the precision of Iyengar Yoga and the dynamism of Astanga. Suitable for men and women, old and young, flexible and infirm

Anyone can claim they teach "Bikram Yoga", but it takes more than a warm room and a list of postures to make your Bikram practice a safe and rewarding experience.

We believe in authenticity. Unless there is a certified and approved instructor supervising how and what is taught, you are not getting true Bikram Method Yoga. There is no such thing as 'a kind of Bikram Yoga'. The original hot yoga, Bikram’s is a copyrighted 90 minute series and your studio has to have minimum 100 degrees farenheight, mirrors, carpets, showers and a qualified and approved instructor for it to be authentic and safe.

Bikram Yoga Brighton the South Coast’s only Bikram Yoga Studio. We adhere strictly to Bikram’s method in its purest form of 26 postures and 2 breathing exercises. A yoga series is a powerful thing and should be used wisely and correctly; nothing added, nothing omitted. Honouring the lineage of our teacher, every Bikram's Yoga Studio is directly affiliated with Bikram Choudhury, creator of Bikram Method Yoga. All our instructors are personally trained and successfully qualified by Bikram during over 500 hours of study. They have completed their 6 month apprenticeship to ensure his methods and philosophy are preserved and safely taught. A continuing connection to Bikram Choudhury and his training staff, allows our instructors to draw from all of the resources Bikram's training centre has to offer. This includes special seminars, courses, guest instructors and answers to any questions that may arise in a particular student’s practice.

Brighton & Hove offers many types of yoga and we would encourage you to try many different styles. We don’t believe in self styled gurus and we don’t set ourselves up as your spiritual teacher. Whatever kind of yoga you practice – remember the instructor is only your guide; YOU must listen to YOUR body – you are the best teacher you will ever have.
