Bikram encourages all ages 8-80 to practice yoga - and we believe the same! However, Bikram Yoga is a silent meditation in a heated room and therefore we would advise bringing your child to the studio outside of class times to ascertain their readiness and ability to deal with the heat. Small children can get dehydrated very easily and it is recommended that before 11yrs they only practice the second part of the series as their bones have not yet fully formed. Our general rule is over 16’s only. However, we do have a Yoga Bugs - a class specially designed for kids between 2 1/2 – 7 years.
